P.J. & Company Salon now offers thermal straightening!  Introducing the Rusk® Thermal STR8 Internal Restructuring System. Now your curly hair can be predictably straightened! Thermal STR8 permanently straightens 100% of excessively curly or wavy hair. While competing hair straightening products claim 85%, the patented RUSK "Processing Control Technology" (P.C.T.) actively manages the chemical reaction for predictable results and extraordinary hair condition. RUSK Thermal Str8 is a System. The proteins, conditioners, and protectants are used throughout the service to optimize results. Two formulas are used to ensure perfect results on all hair types. Thio- based formula is a safer, gentler method of permanently straightening the hair. When calling to request this service, you should specifically ask to "schedule a free consultation to discuss the thermal straightening service." A free 15 minute consultation will be scheduled with a certified stylist. Certified stylists have received a full day's training by a Rusk educator on the Thermal Str8 hair straightening system. Only stylists who have received the training can perform the service. Currently, 2 stylists have been Rusk certified. Immediately after the consultation, the thermal straightening service can be scheduled at the reception desk (the service will not be performed on the same day as the consultation).  A minimum of 4 hours is required for the straightening service, during which time, the licensed cosmetologist/stylist will exclusively service the thermal straightening client. Due to the exclusive commitment & length of time required to perform the thermal straightening service, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required at the time of consultation. Cosmetologist/stylists always strive to accommodate each and every client. For these reasons, the straightening services will be scheduled on Tuesdays between the hours of 9am and 5pm. During slow times however, the straightening service may be scheduled on alternate days of the week with the stylist's approval.
