Consultation

The service starts with a 30 minute no-cost consultation during which our trained stylist will discuss color, length, service time, application, maintenance, removal and cost with the client. If the client wishes to proceed, the stylist will book the future appointment and the hair extensions will be ordered. Payment for the hair (NOT including the installation service) is due at the conclusion of the consultation and is non-refundable. If the client decides to cancel the application, the hair is the client's to keep.

Application

The process of installing hair extensions involves adhering small strands or bundles of hair to the client's natural hair, and takes several hours to complete depending on the client's natural hair and the number of bundles to be added. Payment for the installation service is due at the conclusion of the service and is non-refundable.

Maintenance

To insure the best results, maintenance will be required. During a maintenance visit, your stylist will look for loose bonds & matting, and trim if necessary (among other tasks). Additional bundles may be installed. Your stylist will talk to you about maintenance at the Consultation. Payment for the Maintenance service is due at the conclusion of the service.

Removal

Removal of the hair extensions takes approximately half of the time required for the installation and is priced accordingly. Extensions cannot be removed by the client. Attempting to do so will result in damage. Your stylist will talk to you about removal at the Consultation.

Special Notes About Hair Extensions

* P.J. & Company uses Cinderella brand hair extensions. The hair bundles are attached using a clear bond to the client's existing (natural) hair. Depending on the health of the existing hair as well as many additional factors (such as excessive styling activities or hair pulling), the natural (existing) hair may be damaged. While industry standard hair extensions and application procedures are used, P.J. & Company Salon is not responsible for damage to natural (existing) hair should it occur. It should also be mentioned that, we have not seen damage and instead have seen cases where the natural hair grew considerably better underneath the extensions and was longer and as healthy (or healthier). Your actual experience may vary.  

* Clients are reminded not use conditioner on the day of application.

* Natural hair must be at least 3" in length.

* Damaged natural (existing) hair increases the chance of breakage. Your stylist may recommend against hair extensions for those with badly damaged hair.

* "Shedding" is normal and natural. Clients should expect some of the hair extensions to shed.

* Hair extensions are not recommended and never should be applied if the client is receiving chemotherapy or is pregnant.

* Some prescribed medications may effect the bonding of the hair extensions. Clients taking prescription medications are encouraged to consult with their doctor before scheduling a hair extension service.
